Formula and method
CTR = clicks ÷ selected exposure count × 100. Clicks per 1,000 exposures = clicks ÷ exposure count × 1,000.
Worked example
500 affiliate-link clicks from 10,000 measured page views gives a 5% page-view CTR and 50 clicks per 1,000 page views.
How to interpret your results
CTR describes the step before conversion. An impression-based CTR and a visitor-based CTR have different denominators; keep the selected base attached to the result when comparing campaigns.
Assumptions and edge cases
Use matched periods and consistent counting. Repeated clicks can exceed unique visitors, so rates over 100% are flagged rather than capped. A zero exposure count leaves the rate undefined.

Does a high CTR guarantee earnings?
No. A click still needs to convert and qualify for commission. Use the funnel or earnings tool to model those later stages.
