Formula and method
Month n pageviews = starting pageviews × (1 + growth ÷ 100)^(n − 1). Revenue each month = that month’s pageviews × Page RPM ÷ 1,000. Cumulative revenue is the sum of monthly estimates.
Worked example
Illustration only: 100,000 pageviews, 10% monthly growth and £8 Page RPM gives £800 in month 1 and £880 in month 2: £1,680 total.
Interpreting the result
Month 1 is the baseline, not an already-grown month. Growth compounds monthly while RPM stays fixed. Difference compares the final month with month 1. No seasonality or changing yield is inferred.
Assumptions and limitations
Rates remain constant except for the traffic growth explicitly entered in the forecast. Projections are arithmetic equivalents, not predictions of a calendar month or year. Actual revenue varies with audience, geography, content, demand, ad setup and eligibility. No revenue, traffic level or outcome is guaranteed.
